I’m Sam and I’m from the UK. I recently finished a PhD in Czech literature. Back in England, I also had my own little theatre company. I love writing, reading and developing ideas for short films and plays. I also play the guitar and piano. And obsess (a little) over cricket.
My classes will be relaxed and fun, with plenty of opportunity to talk, share ideas, and debate different topics. We will play games and practise conversations you can use every day. Confidence is the key to learning and improving language skills. And this is what we will focus on.

My name is Theodore and I came to Europe from the United States four years ago. In college I studied musicology and classical guitar performance. While in the USA I was a public school teacher for some time and also a gigging musician. I love dogs. I also love my hobbies: reading, exercising, and practicing music. There is definitely satisfaction to be had from making music on an instrument that you have some mastery of. But there is a whole other kind of satisfaction that comes from achievement during the beginning stages of learning an instrument.
I am a pretty easy-going guy and I love to help others. I believe in making the world a better place by starting right in your own neighborhood. If that means helping my neighbors to speak better English then I can do just that! I have been a teacher for a long time and I have the patience to help students acquire new grammar and vocabulary and also to practice towards fluency. Learning Slovak and Czech myself has helped me to understand what English learners need in order to succeed.

Hi my name is Lea and I am an English teacher. I was born in the US but I am also Czech which is one of the reasons I came to Brno. I am also a student at the Social Studies faculty at Masaryk University. I’ve been teaching for about 3 years and it is something I love and am very passionate about. In my free time, I do many different activities like reading, writing, baking, and more.
From my own experiences, I can understand how hard it is to confidently speak in a different language other than your own. My lessons are fun yet chill to help students feel engaged and comfortable throughout the classes. We will do different activities, games, and talk about many topics, which will be catered to each student. My overall goal is to show students how speaking can feel like a strength rather than a weakness.

I am Farid, originally from Borneo Malaysia. I am a native speaker and I was taught English at an International School growing up. I spent 10 years in London, completing my BA and Masters Degree and later on to become a lecturer and technical instructor in Fashion and Textile Design along with Wearable Technology. I love Design in general, Technology, Arts and Crafts, and I love to sew. I also enjoy a good idiom, puns and a clever contronym.
My classes are fun, vibrant, eccentric and memorable. Above all else, I prioritise creating a safe-space and a casual atmosphere for everyone to speak freely and express themselves in English regardless of their proficiency; in this, I hope to boost your confidence with the language. I strive to deliver the highest quality of classes as I do with all of my students.

Hey there! My name is Morgan and I’m from Kansas, U.S.A. I’m studying International Relations at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University. Having new experiences and meeting new people have been fundamental parts of my life, so coming to the Czech Republic was the right move for me! When I’m not studying, I enjoy hiking, reading, visiting museums, trying new recipes, and when I’m back in the U.S., I hang out with my cats, of course.
I want to help you to be more confident in your English language abilities. I will cater my lessons to your wants and needs. We can work on English words you would find in a textbook, or we can work through everyday topics that are more casual; whatever suits you best! I know that it can be scary to speak in a language you aren’t super familiar with, so we will work on whatever makes that fear go away.

I’m Pavlina, and I’m from the U.S. I studied biology in college, and I worked at an environmental non-profit organization before moving to Brno. Part of my family is from Czechia, so I came here to improve my Czech language skills. In my free time, I love to dance, plan my next vacation, and watch too many hours of Korean dramas. During summer – my favorite time of year – you’ll find me swimming, camping, and admiring all of the flowers in bloom.
As someone who is learning Czech, I know how difficult it can be to speak in a foreign language (and how satisfying it can be when you see yourself improving!). I want students to feel supported, be comfortable with making mistakes, and feel like they can bring their full personalities to class. I am a patient, empathetic teacher, and I will tailor lessons to be fun, interesting, and useful for you.

Hi, my name is Sarah. I’m from England and I’ve lived in the Czech Republic for over 12 years now. I live in South Moravia with my partner and two children. I am enjoying countryside living after so many years in the city, exploring the nature around us. I also love gardening, baking, arts and crafts, movies and music.
I gained my TEFL certificate in 2008 after spending time teaching adults and children in an orphanage in Cambodia. Since I moved to the Czech Republic I have taught various ages and abilities, most recently working in a Czech-English kindergarten. I love teaching little learners but I’m also passionate about helping all ages on their journey towards learning English. I can help you do that in a fun, relaxed and friendly way. I look forward to meeting you.

My name is Tereza, I am a student of English Language and Literature at Masaryk University. I lived in Brno my whole life and it’s my favorite Czech city. I love reading, writing and organizing events for young people. One of my passions is wearing colorful clothing that I design from old pieces of fabric and I enjoy meeting with my friends as often as I can!
I am an extremely extroverted person, so I just love to have a fun conversation! I believe teaching should be fun and the importance of that I learned in my last job, where I taught children at an elementary school. In my lessons, we can talk about topics that you enjoy and can later use in your daily life. Mistakes are a part of learning, so don’t be afraid to talk.
